One-to-one Spanish classes are designed entirely around your needs, level and availability allowing you to focus on what is important for you, and when it suits you best. We also offer tuition for small groups of new students, friends or colleagues.

Past one-to-one tuition students include A level and GCSE students, different exam Boards, full tuition for their examination, or having support lessons. Other students include, Open University students, Birbeck College London undergraduates, teachers of Spanish wanting to refresh their knowledge and maintain their fluency, gap year students, those who are travelling to, or going to work in a Spanish-speaking country, those that are planning for a retirement, or studying for personal development, others that are moving abroad or just visiting family.

After a successful first year Spanish group tuition at Woodbridge Cruising club on Thursday mornings, there will be two classes offered for the academic year 2023-24 starting on 14th September. The Second Year Spanish, and Spanish Beginners. Please see information on the enrolment form.

Group lessons are offered for small groups of 2 or 3 students. We have a waiting list of students that wish to be part of a group. You can also form a group with friends that wish to study Spanish with you, and share the cost of the lesson.

Group lessons are ideal for you if you are looking to advance quicker, and would like the comfort and opportunities of being in a small group.

Courses offered are not part of any examination, however they are well structured with practice on four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Members of a group can choose to sit an exam if they wish to.

Our group language courses are for 33 weeks per year approximately, over three terms, and as a student you will attend one class per week. Invoices are provided termly, and course materials are listed below.

We offer four different levels of study for students of differing abilities in Spanish:

• Beginner courses for complete beginners.
• Elementary courses
• Intermediate courses
• Advanced courses: GCSE; AS and A Level.

When you enrol on a course, you should think carefully about which level of course best suits your current knowledge of the language or seek advice for an assessment.

We also offer some support lessons for school pupils that are taking their GCSEs and A levels, and for adult students that wish to sit these exams. Teachers of Spanish that wish to maintain their fluency, also benefit from these courses.

Course materials for GCSE and A level tuition

If we are teaching you for extra support for your lessons at school, we will use resources suitable to the exam Board that you will be sitting your exam with, to give you the best chance of improving your grade.

If we are your principal teachers, we will discuss with you the best path for you to follow, and choose an exam Board to sit the exam.

To enroll on a language course with us, you will be required to pay tuition fees as detailed below. Please also consider that you will, in addition, need to purchase course materials.

Total cost of tuition

• Small group lessons of 1h (Beginners, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced)

• The fee is £25/hour per person in a group of 2.
• The fee is £20/hour per person in a group of 3.

There are 3 terms in a year.
Payable in full before the start of the term.

Beginners will need to purchase a book and CDs (£25).
Intermediate/Advanced students will need to purchase a book and CDs (£25), a magazine (£15) and buy one novel, or alternative book chosen in class.

•  Private tuition
  Individual tuition for conversational Spanish Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Individual tuition for GCSE, AS level and A2 level Spanish: £40/hour, Invoices are sent for a block of 10 lessons.
